Phenibut (beta-phenyl- gamma-aminobutyric acid, also spelled fenibut, originally known as phenigamma) is a derivative of the neurotransmitter GABA that crosses the blood-brain barrier. It was developed in Russia, and there it has been used clinically since the 1960's for a range of purposes. Phenibut has both nootropic and anxiolytic (anxiety-reducing) properties, and it is commonly compared to diazepam (Valium), baclofen, and piracetam, and it has similarities to and differences from all of these substances.

I just recently heard about the substance Phenibut and I was intrigued so I ordered some in capsule form. As a long time sufferer of mild to moderate social anxiety I was looking for something reasonably safe to aid me in recovery. After using Phenibut for a few months I thought I would give my honest opinion on how it affected me both negatively and positively.

First off, I must warn that there is risk of dependency. Please take the time to read the instructions on the bottle carefully. Phenibut has been a LIFE SAVER for me. I am very careful however to only use 2-3 times a week max and never for consecutive days. If you decide to take daily I can almost guarantee some side effects. I tried daily use for a few weeks and I had some rebound anxiety and insomnia that lasted for a week. Not fun. Like I said, if you are responsible with it it can become a huge life enhancement.

I've tried several brands but the brand that I like most is Liftmode. They have the most inexpensive and purest form of Phenibut out there. You will not be disappointed with Liftmode's customer service or their products! I highly recommend Liftmode for any Nootropics or nutritional supplements.

After a few months of responsible use I have found that Phenibut has given me a deeper appreciation of life. I no longer feel edgy all the time. I also have found that I am able to concentrate on a much deeper level with Phenibut. House projects are no longer intimidating but seem adventurous. My confidence soars while I am using Phenibut properly.

I am not usually so impressed with anything OTC and I was definitely skeptical but Liftmode's Phenibut has won me over! If you have nagging anxiety issues like me then I highly recommend giving Phenibut a chance.

Ive tried Phenibut for a few months now and it has really helped with my anxiety ..If you follow the directions it can be very helpful..Liftmode.com has probaly the best out there and customer service is top notch..I repeat you need to take as directed or you will defeat the purpose

Phenibut is a fantastic choice if you're aiming for a feeling of well-being and euphoria. Improves your outlook on life, makes you very sociable and is easy to take. Has a high level of dependence over time. Effects are boosted with caffiene.

I currently use about 1-1.5 grams of phenibut for anxiety relief as needed. The product works quite well as a anti anxiety. The product also have very strong euphoric feeling as well. I have gotten extremely drowsy off of this product within about an hour of taking. I have noticed when i take before bed i sleep very deeply through the night and do not wake up at all. Unfortunatly the next morning i wake up very drowsy with severe dizziness and vertigo, these sides usually last for the first 4-5 hours after waking but can be difficult to drive or go to work the day after using the product. For the price it is very worth while. My wife uses the product quite frequently with similar effects and side effects.

Really a great supplement. I am using the one by SNS Phenibut because I know its pure quality and the cheapest around, and this review alone just made me want to take some.

It takes a while to feel, maybe 1-2 hours but if you take it anytime before sleep, you will get rested and wake up great. You slowly feel it kick in but if you take enough it becomes apparent. I use between 500-1500mg before sleep, and or a few hours before sleep upto 2500mg.

This has a little drug feel for relieving stress as well, but sometimes it may make you a little tired. Just really depends on your mood. You can take some with Alcar/Tyrosine, and maybe caffeine and get a good lift if anything.

As far as the Phenibut itself goes, the effect is pretty consistent, the comedown is good, and it works for almost everyone, so there is no risk with trying it.

Increasing the dosage from the recommended 400mg to 2g gave me good effects. The effects kicked in fully after about 3 hours, and lasted well into the next day. It has a strong sedative effect, and should allow you to have a good night's sleep. It does cause some loss of coordination, so be careful if you're operating machinery or vehicles.
