Origin (Genomyx)

The game changer is what we should have called it. We got tired of seeing the same dodgy proprietary blends with so many ingredients, you could never accurately guess if any of it was going to be enough. The pre-workout category is flooded with label flare and the same bodacious claims you hear about that one secret trick to getting six pack abs.

We wanted to bring a product to the market that was built simply around effective ingredients at effective doses. At this point, I've used so many pre-workouts that it is really difficult to feel blown away by any of them. There are rare exceptions, such as Craze, which provided a truly unique feeling. I knew Genomyx was an innovative company, so I had high hopes for Origin; I was not disappointed. Things kicked off on a positive note from the beginning, as I recognized the Cherry Bomb flavor as being very similar to that of Protocol, and it is delicious. This also mixed very easily so that was good as well. I began with one scoop to assess tolerance per the label directions, and after 15 minutes I could feel it kicking in so I slowly sipped a second scoop. I could tell Origin was different because it not only gives you energy and gets you motivated, but it puts you in the zone, where you can just tell you're on. I was working before I took it, and I felt like I was more dialed in and like I could have crushed some serious work. But I was also able to tear myself away and get to training, as Origin really got me amped for that. Origin is a great mix of energy, motivation and focus; some other energy/focus supplements just get me too into whatever I'm doing at the moment (usually working) and then I just zero in on that and don't even feel like working out. Origin is different, it got me dialed in and ready to go. Solid profile, no prop blend - the combo of TMG and caffeine is always a good one, and you also get Theanine, L-Citrulline, and Rhodiola Rosea. Simple, but effective
