Original 5-Hour Energy (Living Essentials)

In 2004, energy drinks took a big step… smaller. Lighter, more portable, faster acting and longer lasting, 5-Hour Energy shots quickly became the no nonsense way for working adults to stay focused and productive. It’s packed with b-vitamins for energy and amino acids for alertness and focus. There is zero sugar, zero herbal stimulants, and only as much caffeine as a cup of premium coffee. The two-ounce energy shot takes just seconds to drink and in minutes you’re feeling bright and alert. And that feeling lasts for hours.

Grape

Even though I dislike grape-flavored products for the most part, the flavor was the least disappointing thing about 5-hour energy. While this is touted as the ultimate energy product, it's anything but. First, this didn't last for five hours, more like one and a half, which isn't bad, but well below the claim. The ingredient profile is pretty solid, though standard - caffeine, B vitamins, tyrosine, taurine and a few other ingredients you see in every energy drink. Some research found that there's about 138mg of caffeine per bottle, which can be hefty if you're not into hardcore pre-workouts and other stims. The commercials are right in that you don't crash, but I wasn't that energetic to begin with so it didn't really matter. This is alright, but not really worth $2.99 per shot.

5 hour energy is not near as great as it is advertised on TV. They say there is not "crash" afterwards, which is partially true, seeing as you can not crash if you did not have any energy boost to start out with. I tried this and i really did not feel any significant boost of energy. It helped with workouts, particularly running, some, since i felt a little less tired than usual, but overall, there was no significant difference. The taste is also very peculiar, though almost like all other energy supplements. If i were you, i would not waste money on this energy supplement, i still prefer plain own energy bars or carb bars.

So i saw his t hour energy stuff as always advertised on Tv, it looked kind of interesting, so i ordered some to try out. The results were not anything like the advertising campaigns claimed. It did provide pretty good energy, but only for maybe a hour or two, in which it just seemed to diminished. It does not have guarana, but it also lacks the main purpose of drinking it, the energy. I acutally stil had somwhat of a crash after the effect diminished, i felt an immediate decline of energy near the end of a workout session. It is also pretty expensive, so i really do not think it is worth your money.

Euphoria The next ingredient under this blend is N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine, which can be synthesized into the body by Phenylalanine, can help improve your mood when faced with a stressful situation.
Physical energy Today’s product is Living Essentials 5 Hour Energy.
Physical energy I’ve tried 5 Hour Energy a few times and never really caught onto why people are obsessed with it.
Physical energy but my girlfriend convinced me to write it since she is one of the (I’m sure) millions of people who can’t get enough of 5 Hour Energy.
Physical energy 5 Hour Energy also contains an Energy Blend, which includes Taurine, Glucuronolactone, Malic Acid, N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine, L-Phenylalanine, Caffeine, and Citicoline.
Physical energy Now for the Energy Blend, the first ingredient under this Blend is Taurine, which is usually billed to be able to provide you with energy,
Physical energy Next up is Caffeine, which provides large amounts of energy to the body while also increasing mental alertness while also fighting off muscle fatigue.
Physical energy And lastly we have Citicoline, has been shown to improve focus and mental energy, while also being a possible medication for those with A.D.D. (Attention Deficit Disorder).
Physical energy Now, I am not a fan of 5 Hour Energy in the least bit,
Physical energy I must say my experiences have been negative with 5 Hour Energy so far because I do not have a particular liking for the taste of the product, and despite my high tolerance for Caffeine and stimulants in general, this is the only “Energy Drink” that has ever given me the shakes or made me feel nauseous and lightheaded.
Physical energy Now, this wasn’t just a one time thing, I have tried 5 Hour Energy on many occasions and every time I get the same results.
Physical energy So from my personal experience standpoint I will give 5 Hour Energy a 3/10,
Physical energy but if I were to give a neutral review of this product based on the ingredients, I would give 5 Hour Energy a 8/10.

Endurance Next up is Caffeine, which provides large amounts of energy to the body while also increasing mental alertness while also fighting off muscle fatigue.
Focus And lastly we have Citicoline, has been shown to improve focus and mental energy, while also being a possible medication for those with A.D.D. (Attention Deficit Disorder).
Taste Next we have Malic Acid, which is used to flavor foods, it is also sometimes found on labels under the name “E296.”
Taste I must say my experiences have been negative with 5 Hour Energy so far because I do not have a particular liking for the taste of the product, and despite my high tolerance for Caffeine and stimulants in general, this is the only “Energy Drink” that has ever given me the shakes or made me feel nauseous and lightheaded.
Ingredient profile Here are the ingredients broken down one by one.
Ingredient profile The next ingredient on the label is Folic Acid, or Vitamin B-9, which helps in cellular growth, as well as red blood cell production.
Ingredient profile And lastly under the regular ingredients on the label we have Sodium, or Salt, which is part of the electrolytes which keep the body hydrated, too much salt may have an adverse effect on the body.
Ingredient profile Next we have Malic Acid, which is used to flavor foods, it is also sometimes found on labels under the name “E296.”
Ingredient profile but after researching the ingredients, you really can’t say that this product is “bad” for you.
Ingredient profile The only ingredients that may show negative side effects are Caffeine and Citicoline, and even those side effects wouldn’t be all that bad.
Ingredient profile but if I were to give a neutral review of this product based on the ingredients, I would give 5 Hour Energy a 8/10.
